Our Approach
The selection of waste compaction equipment is an important business decision and one that is not necessarily made on a regular basis. At Kelpack, we have the technical sales knowledge and engineering skills to ensure that a cost-effective solution is provided. We look to identify the optimum combination of machines to offer best value in terms of energy efficiency.
1 - Site visit and waste consultation
Our initial site visit involves a full waste consultation. This helps us obtain a full understanding of the type and quantity of waste material, how it is produced, segregated and removed. We take into account Health & Safety obligations as well as the need for business continuity.2 - Written waste equipment proposal
Following the site visit, we will make a recommendation of the right waste compactor for your business. To meet the principles of best value procurement, we factor the following areas into the decision making process:- Reducing labour
- Transportation and waste disposal costs
- Effective use of space
- Safe working environment
- Potential revenue from recycled material
3 - On site machine trials
Part of our consultative approach includes a facility for on-site machine trials, so you can test equipment for its functionality in a live environment. This can be done on a timescale to suit your business, for a period of up to one month.4 - Selecting your equipment
Once we have agreed our proposal, the final specification of the equipment can be converted into a CAD drawing by our in-house draughtsman if required. Your machinery will be built to this exact specification on-site in Sheffield, including any bespoke ancillaries such as hoppers or chutes.Prior to installation of the equipment, we will agree the right funding option to suit your business, and we will keep you aware at all stages of the build process.
5 - Installation and ongoing maintenance
Our engineers will oversee the installation of your equipment at a time most convenient to your business. Our commitment to you doesn’t end at delivery though. Our machines can be supported by a warranty and ongoing maintenance contract to ensure your equipment remains in optimum working order.
We offer a range of stand-alone service and maintenance packages to suit you, including a fully comprehensive 24-hour call-out option backed by a team of over 20 nationwide engineers. Initially this ensures the validity of your machine’s warranty, but can extend beyond the warranty period to keep your equipment efficient and safe.
